Being a teacher, I have a great understanding of how kids work and the importance of gaining their trust. I have coached basketball at Linganore High School and Golf at Oakdale High School. By doing the above, I have also built a great understanding for the importance of communication. This has helped me solve many problems with parents, coaches and players. I look forward to coaching for years to come with TLL.

What do you enjoy about being a part of TLL?
Smiling kids! I enjoy seeing kids having fun, after all that is what they all want. I enjoy the small town feel as if we are all one big family. The support the town has is amazing and much appreciated.

I have been involved with TLL for 7 years as an assistant coach, manager, player agent, and now league VP. I have over 20 years of experience working with children as a physical education teacher and school administrator.  I have also served as a coach for adult church sports teams and as vice commissioner of a local church softball league. My experiences working with kids and serving in leadership roles lend themselves well to my position on the TLL Board.

What do you enjoy about being a part of TLL?
I enjoy watching the players grow as they progress through the levels at TLL.  It is great to work with a dedicated group of volunteers who come together to run a top notch baseball program.

I have been a coach for Thurmont Little League for two years and now have looked to increase my role in the organization.

What do you enjoy about being a part of TLL?
As someone who grew up in a town that did not have a strong little league, I truly love the support Thurmont Little League has for its kids. As most of of us are volunteers it's great to see the passion not only for the game, but the enjoyment of being a part of it as well.

In my childhood up to 19 years of age I played baseball for Myersville baseball (now Mountain Valley baseball). I have been coaching at TLL for 5 seasons now and ready for more to come . I have great communication and understanding with all kids, parents, and coaches. I feel patience is the name of the game, the willing to get down and play with the kids to show them how it's done. I plan on continuing volunteering for TLL for more years to come.

What do you enjoy about being a part of TLL?
First of all I enjoy seeing these kids having a smile on there face, when they hit ball, or make a play on the field , or just having fun. The community in TLL is a great community to volunteer in. Everyone works as a team to keep TLL going for the kids. The small town support is amazing and just drives me to step up and help these feel the love and passion for baseball as I have as a child.
